Ballon d’Or winner 2021 announced on 29th November starting from 7:30pm, with the ongoing speculation as to who will be the winner between Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandoski. Last year, the Ballon d’Or award in ceremony did not happen because of the Covid-19 pandemic, however this year will be different. Ballon d’Or released a shortlist of names that are to compete to win the award of which includes the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi is currently on top of the Ballon d’Or charts with his odds of winning being more than his counterpart Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandoski. Last year, Robert Lewandoski was poised to win the award, however the award did not happen due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. If Messi wins the Ballon d’Or it, will be his seventh award putting him clear of Cristiano Ronaldo by 2.
Who will win the Ballon d’Or 2021 award?
It will be a tight race this year for the Ballon d’Or award, although the main two counterparts to take the award home will be between Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandoski. Robert Lewandoski is poised to win the award after winning the best player in Europe and the top goal scorer in Europe. Lionel Messi on the other hand has won the Copa America and was the top goal scorer in La liga. Ronaldo however is not on the spotlight having being knocked out of the Champions league. Jorginho is also poised to win the award having won the Champions league last season with Chelsea.
