As per the terms of work of the Teacher’s service commission, any teacher in-service is supposed to exit work on compulsory retirement once they get to the age of sixty. Before this period, the teachers are notified of their pension progress, and in the process, there is information that is necessary for the processing of the pension. Now recently, the TSC disclosed some of the main documents that are needed in the process. It is therefore important to know the documents that are required for smooth TSC pension processing for retired teachers and have them in the correct formats as specified by the commission.
Usually, the commission issues a retirement notice to a teacher when it almost the retirement date. On the notice, there is an attached list of a number of documents that you are supposed to submit to the TSC. It wasn’t that clear in the recent past but now the TSC disclosed the list and one can comfortably prepare them for use when they’re needed. Usually, before retirement, probably two years before the retirement date, the TSC notified one of their retirement and in the notice, there are a number of things that one is required to do in order to make sure that the pension is processed without much trouble.
