The announcement from Zuckerberg comes after Facebook recently experienced a system scandal and has received a lot of regulation calls to block its influence.
Facebook looks to launch the metaverse of which is very able to allow access to social, economical, and creative opportunities for the public. Over the coming five years, the new job will be practiced in the right way by highly trained engineers. Facebook mentioned that investing and hiring people from the European Union has a lot of advantages as compared to disadvantages. Some of the advantages include provision and access to top-class universities, high-quality talent, and access and provision to a big consumer market. Mark Zuckerberg announced that the creation of the metaverse is one of Facebook’s biggest priorities.
Despite Facebook’s history of buying its rivals, Mark Zuckerberg mentioned that the metaverse can’t be built by one company and it should be necessary for them to collaborate. Even though the true metaverse idea will take around ten to fifteen years to properly build, there is hope as Facebook has invested around fifty million dollars in non-profit organizations to assist in building the metaverse. Some of the critics mentioned that the recent announcement by Facebook is meant to reinstate the reputation of the company and divert people’s attention after Facebook has faced numerous scandals over the recent months. Facebook also found out that Instagram is affecting teenagers’ mental health and did not share this information with the public.
