KBC Journalist Betty Mutekhele shot dead in Ngong homeKenya Broadcasting Cooperation journalist Betty Mutekhele was shot dead at around 8.20 pm at her Ngong home yesternigh, 7th of April 2021. An armed gang if robbers forced their entry into the journalists home at around 8.20 after the house help opened the gate. The journalist had just arrive at her ololua home when the gang forced their way into the parking area with her after the house help opened it.
The gang then ordered her to take them where the children and husband were. The gang followed her into the house where they demanded for all the valuables. Leaving the rest of the gang behind, one gunman accompanied her to her master bedroom upstairs where gunshots were heard after a short arguement. The late was short twice in the head and her phone and laptop taken by the gang.
Betty joined the state broadcaster in 2009 and has been working there since then. The broadcasting community and the rest of Kenya has been left mourning following her demise.” I urge the police to do whatever it takes to unearth the murderers of my colleague last night. It is so devastating. RIP my colleague” KBC TV and radio bonny Musambi mourned.
The death comes some few days after another brutal murder of one Jennifer wambu happened within the same vicinity. She was found dead in Ngong forest on 15 the of march 2021 and it’s believed that she was strangled dead.
