Detailed News- Reasons why Facebook, IG and Whatsapp not working
Social media users on Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp were left in darkness for a few hours after the Facebook servers experienced an outage yesterday. The three platforms belong to one person i.e. Mark Zuckerberg and they most probably share servers.
The three social media platforms stopped working whereby one could neither send messages nor make any posts on their timelines as well. Upon maintenance and solving of the technical issue, Facebook claims to have experienced a faulty configuration. The faulty change somehow compromised the company’s internal systems thus making the problem resolution attempts very difficult.
A day earlier, Facebook official Frances Haugen leaked some documents concerning the criticism going on Facebook. She even ended up giving a testimony about it but Facebook denied all the claims. She also says that she’s never seen an outage like this before. Haugen concluded by apologizing to all Facebook users for any inconveniences caused. All facebook admins and technicians have affirmed to all users that the outage was due to the faulty setting change that was done this affecting communication across the server. Facebook assured its users that no user data had been compromised due to the outage.
What we all know is that this was the biggest outage ever experienced and felt across the world since many people are seemingly dependent on the three Social media apps. The tech team claims that a single configuration change complexity might have led to all this since it affected communication between the different platforms on the same server. The platforms are however back to normal now and you can send, post, and share your data without having to worry about anything technical.
