A video of the comedian being vacated forcefully made vigorous rounds on social media on Thursday but many people took it as one of the many April fool’s pranks not to know that the video was the truth on the ground.
Akuku reveals the critical situation he and many other kenyans are in during this lockdown and continues to plea with the president to lift it and let the kenyans work as usual.
” Since the lockdown was placed, people have been suffering. I am among those people. There were no shows and the avenues that were there were blocked. Yes there were rent arrears and what you saw was true. It was not april fool’s day prank! ” Akuku explained.
The situation remains critical with many people undecided on what exactly to do and hoping for the country to be opened up soon. Akuku strongly urged the government to relax some of the regulations and prohibitions to allow kenyans continue with the hustle.
Notably, this comes barely a week after another celebrity popped up a campaign dubbed “unlock our country” on social media in another bid to pressure for the country to be opened up.
